IDEA: visualizzare la storia

IDEA è l’acronimo di Interdisciplinary Discourses, Education and Analysis, una pubblicazione annuale del London Centre for Interdisciplinary Research. Animato da studiose e studiosi accademici e indipendenti, il Centro promuove confronti nelle aree interconnesse che interessano “memory studies, historiography, migration studies, gender studies, anthropology, narratives, creativity, media and film studies, and medical humanities”.
Dopo un primo numero sul mito (Myth: Intersections and Interdisciplinary Perspectives, 2021), il fascicolo uscito nell’estate del 2022 si focalizza sul tema multisfaccettato della Visual History, con una sezione speciale dedicata a Life, Narration and Storytelling.
Introdotti dall’editoriale del direttore Gabriele Biotti, e da un affondo di Florian Brody su come i media digitali stanno cambiando la nostra percezione e interazione con la storia e con la memoria (The Digital Penumbra of Memory), i contributi toccano episodi della storia recente riverberati, smontati, riassemblati nei linguaggi del cinema, dei media, dell’arte concettuale e performativa, del discorso storico e narrativo, con un focus finale sul racconto biografico e autobiografico.
